The National Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Bayelsa State governorship election scheduled for November 11 remains confident in the party’s victory, despite the disqualification of Chief Timipre Sylva, the party’s candidate. Inuwa Yahaya, the Chairman of the Council and the Governor of Gombe State, expressed this optimism while addressing reporters in Yenagoa.
Yahaya, along with members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC, visited Bayelsa to enhance collaboration between the national leadership and the state chapter, with the goal of ensuring the party’s success in the upcoming election.
He said that the party’s candidate possesses the necessary experience and skills to effectively govern the state and enjoys widespread acceptance among the people.
Yahaya also clarified that the postponement of the official campaign launch was to make adequate preparations for the arrival of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the event, and a new date for the launch will be announced soon.
He encouraged all supporters and well-wishers to participate enthusiastically in the upcoming campaign rallies.
