Stevens also warned that those who incite electoral violence will be denied visas by the US government.
“The United States does not have a preferred candidate, period!” We are not interested in any particular party or candidate. “The United States has no preferred candidate, period!” We are not interested in any specific political party or candidate.
“What we want are elections that are free, fair, and credible, and that represent the people,” Stevens said.
“Any politicians, citizens, or other parties encouraging electoral violence or seeking to undermine the electoral process will be discouraged,” he added.
