Chelsea is reportedly open to the possibility of allowing their goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, to join Bayern Munich before the summer transfer window closes.
As per Sport1, this development follows discussions initiated by Bayern Munich with Chelsea regarding the potential acquisition of Kepa.
Throughout the summer, Bayern Munich has been actively searching for a new primary goalkeeper, especially given the sale of Yann Sommer to Inter and Manuel Neuer’s continued absence from play due to a leg injury sustained last December.
Initially, the Bundesliga champions had targeted David Raya from Brentford, but he is now on the verge of joining Arsenal.
It’s worth noting that Bayern Munich’s manager, Thomas Tuchel, had previously coached Kepa during his tenure at Chelsea. Tuchel’s desire to reunite with Kepa at Bayern Munich has led him to personally recommend the Spanish goalkeeper to the club’s management.
