During Tuesday’s plenary session, the newly elected senators took their oaths under the guidance of Senate President Godswill Akpabio. The legislators include Mustapha Musa (All Progressives Congress, Yobe East), Professor Anthony Ani (All Progressives Congress, Ebonyi South), and Prince Pam Mwadkon (Action Democratic Party, Plateau North).
At approximately 11:41 a.m., Mr. Chinedu Akubueze, the Senate Clerk, administered the oath, after which they were escorted to their assigned seats.
Following the induction of these three senators, the composition of the Senate in terms of lawmakers and their political affiliations is as follows: APC – 59, PDP – 37, LP – 7, NNPP – 2, SDP – 2, APGA 1, and ADP – 1.
